A Whisper

I've been trying to listen for the small whispers from the Lord...to be more aware of His leadings.  And I'm glad I've been listening because I've felt really led to start praying for Isaac's football team....each player, by name.  Along with the football coaches.
There have been some situations going on that have been challenging for Isaac, for the other coaches, for the kids, and then of course for the wives/families of the coaches & the kids.  And I'm not even sure there is anyone praying for these kids -- not just for what they can do on the football field but for who they are as people.

So starting tomorrow morning (goal is prayer for every kid on game days) I'll be praying thru the roster. I'm kind of excited about it to be honest.  I always know a few specific kids each season, but this will be a cool way to know who each kid is.

Ok...back to my laundry (story of my life in the fall)...

Praying

Friends if you're the praying kind would you be open to throwing up some prayers tomorrow for Isaac?  We're taking a step in faith and would love to have your prayers, if you'll share them.

If you're not the praying kind -- would you send some good thoughts, well wishes.

This adventure Isaac is seeking is a long shot at this point, but something he feels incredibly called to.

Thanks friends :)  In due time I'll share more

Gran

Hey Friends...
Can you say a quick prayer for my Gran -- she's been having some trouble breathing the last couple of weeks, and the doctors have recommended she have open heart surgery.
This morning brings about an angio-gram to see exactly where her blockage is, and then likely have surgery tonight or tomorrow morning to replace a calcified valve.

My Gran's a tough ol' bird and has never really had any kind of major surgery - let alone stay in a hospital (she's a total home body, self reliant kind of lady).  None the less, it's still a bit nerve wracking.  But I promised my mom I wouldn't partake in any of the unnecessary drama.
I know our God is in control & it's His plan to play things out as He sees fit....even if no one else in my family, Gran included, understands that.

Pray for healing, pray for the wisdom & knowledge & gentle hands of the surgeons, Pray for my family that perhaps in the midst of all of this God will shine thru to each of them, and pray for my mom as she is taking on the problem solver role like usual.

Thanks friends!

Anniversary Success!

Well this weekend was so much fun & so relaxing! It was such a treat to be able to spend an entire weekend together with my husband and celebrate our anniversary.  So bizarre to see how quickly this year has gone by; but it makes me excited to see what this new year will bring!  I love that man! We had such a great time, putzed around Newport on Friday - lounged like lazy bums on Saturday, and took our time on the drive home Sunday.  It was perfect - exactly what we needed as we head in to the busy football season.

I'll post some pictures in the next couple days to share.

But in the mean time -- could you pray for my friend Heather? She's having a tough time with her folks, they are not really supportive of her marriage to her husband Jim.  They're two of our greatest friends, and definitely one of our  go to couples.  She's staying with us for a little while (Jim's in the Navy & they're headed out to Hawaii in September).  Pray for healing & growth.

Glad to be back!
