Fall Fashions

Alright I know I've said it before -- I am admittedly not the most fashionable girl out there.  I love fashion, love seeing what trends are coming out each season but never quite know how to integrate it in to my life style (cue personal stylist with unlimited bank account.....anyone??). 


So in preparation for this fall I am already on the hunt for the perfect boot to bring in to my closet.  And I believe I have found it...  The Steve Madden Lakke Boot -- and if my computer weren't acting so lame right now I'd insert a photo.  But I can't right now, so search it on DSW. But here's my dilemma, I can't decide if I should get the cognac color or the taupe (which is really more of a grey color).  Suppose I'll have to go try a pair on and decide at that point.


With that in mind my friends --- what fall fashions are you looking forward to the most?  What should I plan on making a part of my fall wardrobe??

Fashion Wish & Dream!

For as long as I can remember I have loved fashion.  Loved watching all the fashion shows & watching E! during fashion week at odd hours just to catch the runway shows.  Here in lies my problem...I am a fan from afar.  I have never been able to translate the things I see (either on the runway or on those around me) in to items in my closet that I feel I can pull off. 
Example:  leggings....everyone & their mom has busted these beauties out from time to time.  Everyone that is...but me.  I just have not figured out how to work it in to my wardrobe in a way that doesn't make me look like a little kid or something.   But rather than dwell on my ineptness of my own personal fashion prowess...I will showcase a few things that I love, and may one day will incorporate...if I have the guts! ;)

Well back to the day to day grind now!  I'll keep my dreams alive, love & appreciation of fashion thriving and hopes that some day it'll make a strong appearance in my wardrobe!

A New Look

I love reading all my favorite blogs when they share about great fashion.  It's kind of a quiet love of mine...fashion...for as long as I can remember I've been flipping thru magazines, watching all those "fashion" shows, etc. 
Now when it comes to my own fashion prowess for myself.... Hmm, well let's just say that I'm lacking in that department.  I guess it may be that I'm scared that I couldn't pull all the looks I love & appreciate off for myself.  That I couldn't/can't find the things that fit me, my body, my life, my "style" - so a lot of the time I mostly come off purchasing the same or similar items as I have for years.   And it also might be somewhat linked to the fact that my sisters were quite a bit older than me, so I never had that big sister around to teach me all the tricks; as well as a mom (whom I love & respect deeply) who never really put too much stock into that stuff other than to ensure that I was appropriate in every situation & respectful in the way I dressed.

I know this probably wouldn't be some people's dreams - but I have always wanted to go on "What Not To Wear."  Silly I know... but to 1) go to New York & 2) shop with great stylists would be a gift.  I always ask my mom to send me in, I swear to her that I wouldn't be mad. 

I really want someone to help me clean thru my existing things - toss what doesn't fit or work & help my replace it with beautiful clothes that fit who I am & the life I live.  

Oh well....it'll have to wait a bit.  Dang you economy....dang you!
