Have you ever hit that wall at 100mph? Ever felt like you kept running in to that same wall over & over again? That's been my reality the last couple months at work. I've blogged about it before - about the struggles and frustrations of working with your mom, the overall stress of the economy right now & how that impacts the real estate economy.
But this morning I felt like I had run in to that wall for the 100th time - and just had enough. Don't go crazy, I didn't up & quit my job. Just had a moment where I needed my mom to be my mom and not my boss, & let me just cry for a minute. It's so exhausting feeling like you fight & fight every day to do the right things, help people out, do the very best job that you can - and in the end it feels to have been for not.
We've been toying and day dreaming about what our lives would be like if we were living some where else, doing something else. What would it be like, how would we make it work, how would/could we liquidate our current lives to start a new some where else entirely. And honestly, today was the first time I've seriously considered it. Even if only for a 2 minute interval.
I'm looking forward to a mini road trip with Isaac this week to celebrate a dear friend's wedding. Maybe it'll give us a chance to talk thru these things more in depth - to see if maybe there is something to a change of scenery for us. I'm not sure anything will come of it - but it'll just be good to go thru the motions and day dream together.

Travel Dreams
I love watching House Hunters International - and tonight one of my dreams is happening right in front of me. A couple are being moved to Oxford, England. Heaven! English country side & English country cottages.
I can't even imagine having that chance to live abroad and have your employer covering your housing expenses. Not to mention having the opportunity to actually live and not just be a tourist visiting for a bit.
Oh dreams. Who knows...maybe one day, for a while at least. :)

Fashion Wish & Dream!
For as long as I can remember I have loved fashion. Loved watching all the fashion shows & watching E! during fashion week at odd hours just to catch the runway shows. Here in lies my problem...I am a fan from afar. I have never been able to translate the things I see (either on the runway or on those around me) in to items in my closet that I feel I can pull off.
Example: leggings....everyone & their mom has busted these beauties out from time to time. Everyone that is...but me. I just have not figured out how to work it in to my wardrobe in a way that doesn't make me look like a little kid or something. But rather than dwell on my ineptness of my own personal fashion prowess...I will showcase a few things that I love, and may one day will incorporate...if I have the guts! ;)
Case 1: Cuffed Boots

Case 2: Floral Dresses
Case 3: Slouchy Berets
Case 4: Oversized Cardigans
Case 5: Daily Wear Blazers
Case 6: Leather Jackets
Well back to the day to day grind now! I'll keep my dreams alive, love & appreciation of fashion thriving and hopes that some day it'll make a strong appearance in my wardrobe!

Don't Freak Out -- I Do NOT Have "The Fever"
I somewhat hesitantly make this post -- because in my experience, any time a newly married Christian woman starts modestly talking about children the quiet expectation is that she has "baby fever" and wants kids NOW! I assure you that is not the case currently. A lot of our friends have kids and both Isaac & I loooove kids, so more so it makes me excited in anticipation of when we're ready & when God moves.
In the mean time...check out these dang cute nurseries! Ahhh! Soo cute. Hope we can pull something like these together!

*I like this one especially -- the cherry blossoms make me think of Isaac :)
Ok...now that it's out of my system! Ha!

A Quiet Day = Day Dreaming & Music
This quiet day has been such a treat - I've been working on my real estate courses, my wonderful husband picked me up for an impromptu picnic lunch & frozen yogurt, and now I'm rounding out my day listening to "The Beatles" station on Pandora again.
I'm in love with "Imagine" & "Yesterday" by The Beatles... well I think technically "Imagine" is by John Lennon.. Regardless, I loove those two songs specifically. So calming - and their quiet way, just scream summer to me.

And I'm finding myself dreaming of a place like this today...
But here in the real world - we're having people over for our first BBQ with the new backyard & pergola this Saturday. I'm pretty excited! A little nervous too if I were being completely honest - I want to make sure it all comes together beautifully. Any suggestions for good summer drinks or easy side dishes?? Ike is whipping up some steak & chicken with his homemade Strawberry BBQ sauce.
And thankful for the way our small group is coming together -- It is so fun moving towards a place of trust, fun, and honesty with a group of people.
Loving summer this year!
